We created Gametime Gets after realizing that trading card prices spike for about 24 hours when athletes hit major career milestones. By pairing live game data with eBay pricing insights, we built a system where rare player cards stayed locked until those moments happened, then unlocked for 24-hour auctions when attention and demand were at their highest. The campaign launched across the 2024 WNBA and NBA seasons, with each milestone tied to an investment-worthy card that dropped every Tuesday starting at 24 cents, a nod to the shot clock. Fans who were paying attention were rewarded with a short window to bid before values jumped, turning the season into a live game of anticipation, timing, and basketball history unfolding in real time.
